I spent a few hours across two days at Openroom Studios documenting Ruby Gill recording a new single. It is always inspiring seeing how an artist creates and this time was no exception. Ruby has a drive and enthusiasm which I have not come across in remarkably long time. I expect that she will go one to do great things in her own quietly confident way. I hope to get a chance to work with her again. […]
A few weeks back I was contacted by Your LMG to shoot a few portraits of Shadowclub as well as the cover. I agreed. One of my favourite photos ever has got to be the first image below of Isaac Klawansky… I’m a sucker for parallel lines. Thank you to The Bohemian for allowing us to shoot at their premises.
About a month ago I shot a few portraits of Darren from Zebra & Giraffe, for those of you who don’t know Zebra & Giraffe check them out here. We headed out to a nearby park and just shot a few quick portraits. I did not want to get to fancy with the lighting so I used a beauty dish for the main light (400W Elinchrom Quadra) and a Nikon SB-80DX for as a fill light. Please check out the […]
A few weeks back emails were emailed and plans were planned to shoot The Sick Leaves. We finally got around to shoot a few photos last Wednesday. Was a good afternoon shooting […]
The other day I posted one photo from a band shoot I did with the founding member of a new band called The Undoing. I wanted to post the a few more. I really love these shots and hope to be shooting a few more bands in the new year.
This weekend I shot a few portraits with the founding member of the alternative/indie band The Undoing. I wanted to post one of the shots… just because I really like it.
I shot a few portraits with the guys from Dead Alphabet recently. They’re a super bunch of guys and I really love their music. Check ’em out at their webspace.
I’ve been a fan of Zebra & Giraffe since I first heard their single The Knife, a fan of Alan Shenton from the time I first saw him playing guitar in Harris Tweed(now Dear Reader). Not too much to say here besides that I think he is an awesome guitarist. I went to Edenvale on Sunday to shoot some photos with Alan(www.alanshenton.co.za), my plan was to get a lot of ambient light in the shot with a city-ish background and thus get a […]
